Avant-garde shoes are back!

What forms a statement in the frames of a chosen by it – girl look? Temporary satiety of novelties or may be more reasonable attitude to investment in the wardrobe? Anyway, tempted once... it is becoming a platform to work on a new content of a look. Can you find a place for trendy shoes of last season’s in combination with new statement – making looks from the catwalk?

First to remember is boots from SS09 collection of Yves Saint Laurent that left behind a long time ago. But what is the reason for them to get dusty in the wardrobe corner? Today fashionable girls remember again about extravagant shoes in their closet. On the catwalk show in 2009 Stefano Pilati suggested to combine famous “caged boots” with long evening silk dress. However, the best adaptation for them is found outside the catwalk show by Ciara and Beyonce. They wear them with clothes in monochrome colours. A good confluence will be “caged boots” plus classic model of dress by Azzedine Alaia in a white colour.

Why not to wear Balenciaga architectural shoes in combination with one of the latest Mary Katrantzou dresses from SS14 catwalk show? How style.con journalist Tim Blanks argues “new Mary collection is dedicated to...shoes”.  Bravely said fashion formula to which we came in 50% of cases while choosing a look to our favourite shoes.  Interesting, will this statement stay as a lonely voice in a crowd or other designers will continue topic, suggested by Katrantzou?

In 2009 in the shoe world new name was appeared- French brand Aperlai came to fashion industry with an “idea of reinventing modernity”. This reminds us about beloved Balenciaga. As a basis to the iconic model – Geisha, brand took more than just love to the architectural forms, but love to the art of 20th century as well. FW13/14 shoe model is inspired by Piet Mondrain paintings and moreover, I suppose, that they are recreation of an art-nouveau Balenciaga. Geisha Doll shoes because favourite model of Leaf Greener (Elle China fashion editor) who wears them on the Milan Fashion Week. Also, Elena Perminova wore Geisha shoes with SS13 Mary Katratzou dress on London Fashion Week.

Collecting of creative shoes, similar to those which Charlotte Olympia and Nicholas Kirkwood does, became a new hobby for a fashionable women.  Lover of a classic style – Tom Ford also didn’t stay with his beloved style and created extraordinary shoe pair. In SS13 he suggested his own version of gladiatorial sandals from silver and gold leather. Alternative for this “armour” for legs is a model from skin colour and black leather.  Correctly instil this shoes to a look is not possible for everyone. Stylist Anna Dello Russo put on Tom Ford gold sandals with Kenzo SS13 mini dress on the beach party of the same brand in Italy.  Unambiguously there is no need to interpret this kind of shoes to down-to-earth looks how Rihanna and Anne Hathway did this on the premier of “Les Miserable” in New York.

Work on the look is first of all work on you. For those, who love to shoes exceed the other feelings, an attempt to give a new breath to forgotten shoe pair is a new and inspiring experience. Probably, this kind of experiments is questioning a need in investing in a new fashionable shoe models because interpretation of already gained “capital” is already a way to bring a new life to a look.  Naturally, there is a possibility that interest to “content” is not planning to stay in a top – trends. In any case it is good to realize that it-girl of a new generation are satiated with quantities and as a result show an interest to new interpretations: try to interpret ideas, which were primordially inserted by designers to the fashion item. This is a generation of the intellectual attitude to fashion. Harbinger of appearing of evaluative view on proposed in each season catwalk look.
